URI Equestrian Team

About Our Team

With an extensive team of intelligent and hardworking individuals, the URI Equestrian Team’s dedication has lead to their success inside and outside of the ring. As for their recent accomplishments, the team has earned the title of Region Champions for 5 consecutive years, and prior to that, Reserve Champion of the region. In 2017, the team also earned the title of Reserve Champions at the Zone Finals. They then competed at the IHSA Nationals in Kentucky where they came in 7th place.

The URI Equestrian Team has also sent many individual riders to Nationals and to the Zone Finals throughout the years. In Spring 2016, URI sent the first Cacchione Cup rider to Nationals–a rider that would continue to attend the event for the next two years. In 2018, URI sent another rider to the Cacchione Cup and they earned the prestigious title of Zone 1 Region 1 Reserve Champion.

Outside of the ring, our board members work hard to complete the daily tasks necessary to keep the team operating smoothly. The board serves as a governing body that works hard to maintain the team and it’s achieved status.
